Matthew maintains a music studio at his home in Dorval, Quebec, where he teaches piano, guitar, and music theory. He also teaches occasionally from St. Barnabas Anglican Church, in Pierrefonds.
Piano
Beginning at the age of 5, he teaches piano using elements from the Suzuki method, with some adaptations to eventually allow the children to move into the Royal Conservatory of Music curriculum. Lessons also include ear training, theory, history, as well as an acoustic and physical basis in understanding the instrument.
A World of Music
Courses in guitar, harmony, counterpoint, analysis, and computer assisted composition are also available. As a composer, Matthew has extensive background in these topics, and a passion for imparting them to his students. For more information, contact him.
